When it comes to love, the songs from Deborah Cox tell quite the story. A native of Toronto, Canada, Deborah Cox is still recognized as Canada’s Queen of R&B. We all know her from her hit record, “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” which at the time, was the longest-running number one single on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, for 14 weeks. Cox has also had 12 #1hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Since then, she’s been nominated and won numerous awards for her amazing vocals.
Besides singing, Cox has appeared on Broadway and various films. Speaking of, Deborah recently lent her voice to re-record Whitney Houston’s songs for the Lifetime movie, Whitney. The film, which starred Yaya DaCosta, was directed by Angela Bassett, who did a fantastic job in depicting Whitney Houston’s life. Deborah Cox’s voice is undeniable.
