The fashion & social event of the week was at Christie’s where famed fashion journalist, Suzy Menkes launched the online sale of her lifetime’s collection of clothes. Tons of fashion folks arrived to help launch the auction of her fabulous items. Mick Jagger and L’Wren Scott were among those who arrived to raise a glass in Menkes’ honor.
Suzy Menkes said, “There is something sad about clothes laid in a tomb of trunks. They need to live again and this auction provides the opportunity for them to walk out in the sunshine, to dance the night away and to give someone else the joy that they gave to me.” Way to go, Suzy!!
