The word on everyone’s mind for the 2015 Emmy Awards was HOT! The weather was scorching and the looks matched the rising temperature. The trend this year was “Anything Goes.” We saw dresses in every color of the rainbow to amazing architectural black beauties, cutouts and the continuing trend of sheer, done by Taraji P. Henson, so tastefully.
Some of my personal favorites were the ladies dressed in Naeem Khan: Elie Kemper and Christina Hendricks. Claire Danes wore a drop dead gorgeous Prada gown. We saw Allison Janney looking so statuesque in La Bourjoisie. Taraji P. Henson looked amazing in Alexander Wang. And, Zoe Kazan chose a beautiful, flowy gown from Miu Miu.
My architectural favorites were Sarah Hyland in Zac Posen, Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell, Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Safiyaa and Julie Bowen in Georges Chakra Couture.
The couples that made my favorites list are Emmy winner Viola Davis in Carmen Marc Valvo and her very handsome husband, Julius. Emmy winner Allison Janney and Phillip Joncas. And, Sofia Vergara in St. John and her fiancée Joe Mangianello also showed us their fabulous style. I also loved the Father/Son duo of Anthony Anderson and his son Nathan!
Color, Sparkle, Architecture, and Risk Taking……. The 2015 Emmy Awards was one to remember. Who wore your favorite looks?
